What the "1000" or "2500" means in Pragmatic slots

NovaCopa editorial team · 16 October 2026 · 2 min read · 18+
What the "1000" or "2500" means in Pragmatic slots
In short

It is not the max win. It is the top multiplier of the new version: 1,000x in Sweet Bonanza 1000, 1,024x in Sugar Rush 1000 and 2,500x in Gates of Olympus 2500. In all three, the max win reaches 25,000 times the bet.

Pragmatic Play releases new versions of its most successful slots and puts a number in the name. That number is about the multipliers, not about how much you can win. Here is how it works in the three series we cover on NovaCopa.

The three series side by side

Each game next to its new version. The figures are the ones the studio publishes.

Gates of Olympus5,000x96.50%Medium
Gates of Olympus 250025,000x96.52%High
Sweet Bonanza21,175x96.49%Low

Sugar Rush5,000x96.50%High
Sugar Rush 100025,000x96.53%High

What the number means in each one

  • Sweet Bonanza 1000: the candy bombs bring multipliers of up to 1,000x. In the original they range from 2x to 100x.
  • Sugar Rush 1000: each marked spot doubles its multiplier every time it wins again, up to 1,024x.
  • Gates of Olympus 2500: the multipliers that land on each tumble can reach 2,500x.

What changes and what does not

The grid stays the same within each series: 6×5 in Gates of Olympus and Sweet Bonanza, and 7×7 in Sugar Rush. What goes up is the multiplier ceiling, and with it the max win: all three new versions reach 25,000 times the bet.

Volatility can change too. Gates of Olympus goes from medium to high, and Sweet Bonanza rises from low to medium.

Watch the RTP

It barely changes: according to Pragmatic's game data sheet, the original and its new version are at most four hundredths of a point apart. With one caveat: for Sugar Rush 1000, Pragmatic's website gives 96.00% and its sheet 96.53%. Both figures are official; if in doubt, count on the lower one.

Before picking a version, check both reviews. And bear in mind that each casino can install a different RTP configuration from the one the studio publishes.

Questions

Is the "2500" in Gates of Olympus 2500 the most you can win?
No. It is the top multiplier that can land on a tumble. The game's max win is 25,000 times the bet.
Do the 1000 versions pay more?
You cannot put it that way. They have a higher ceiling, but their RTP barely changes, and for Sugar Rush 1000 Pragmatic's website gives 96.00%, below the original's 96.50%. A high ceiling says nothing about what will happen in a session either.
Can I try them for free?
Yes. All six have a demo on NovaCopa, with virtual credits and no real money. You will find them in the Pragmatic Play slots.
