Introduction
Book of Dead came out on 14 January 2016 and is the most famous adventure of Rich Wilde, Play'n GO's explorer, this time in ancient Egypt. It plays on five reels with up to 10 paylines.
The game's official rules give an average RTP of 96.21%. Play'n GO does not publish the volatility or the max win, so we do not make them up.
Key mechanics
The book is both wild and scatter. Three or more trigger 10 free spins, and before they start a random symbol is chosen to expand and cover its whole reel.
The expanded symbol pays even when it is not on adjacent reels. Free spins can be retriggered with three more books. You can also double a win by guessing a card colour, or quadruple it by guessing the suit, up to five times.
Verdict
The game that made «book» slots fashionable. Simple to grasp, with all its potential in one moment: the symbol you get in free spins.
