Introduction
Tome of Madness came out on 27 June 2019 and pits Rich Wilde against Cthulhu. It plays on a 5×5 grid with cascades: you win with clusters of four or more matching symbols that touch.
Its official rules give an average RTP of 96.59%, the highest of the four Play'n GO games on the site. The studio does not publish the volatility or the max win.
Key mechanics
Every win charges the portal. At 7, 14 and 27 winning symbols it adds special wilds, and if they win, effects kick in that remove rows, columns or every symbol of one kind.
At 42 winning symbols the Other World free round starts, with three random portal effects. If you open every eye on the grid, Cthulhu drops in as a giant wild that moves down with each cascade.
Verdict
The most original of the four Play'n GO games: no paylines or books here, but a meter that charges and rewards long cascades.
